WHERE ARE CLASSES HELD
Classes are held in roots & wings activity room at 1200 North Main Street, Roxboro. We are 2 buildings down from Big Al's Restaurant and across from R.G. Motors
HOW LONG ARE THE CLASSES?
Classes begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. Classes are 1 1/2 hours long.
I HAVE A CHILDREN BUT NO CHILD CARE DURING CLASS TIME. CAN I BRING THEM?
At the present time, we do not offer child care. Buddy with a family member or friend to assist with your childcare.
WILL I NEED TO PROVIDE ANY MATERIAL?
No, just a willingness to learn. Paper, pencils and workbooks are provided for you.

Parenting with Love and Logic is a 7 week course designed to teach kids to be respectful, responsible and fun to be around. It is designed to put some fun back into parenting and reduce parenting stress. One of the benefits we see is that parents have more confidence in themselves. Parents learn to share with each other the struggles in their own homes and support each other.

Parenting classes are held 1st Thursday in the months of January, April, September.

Time is 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. We do not offer child care services.
The fee for attending a 7 week session which is 7 Consecutive Thursdays is 50.00.

Program utilized is Parenting with Love & Logic Participants are only allowed to miss one class and that class will include a makeup day for that work.

Referring agencies are notified of participant's attendance and activity in session.

Some of the concepts are:
• The road to wisdom is paved with mistakes. We say to the parents “your children don’t make enough mistakes”.

• Mistakes made early in a child’s life where the child learns from the consequences, the lessons are cheaper than the same lesson at a later age.

• Parents actually gain some control by sharing it .

• Solutions for problems usually reside in the person who owns the problem. Allowing children to own their problems is a better teacher than rescuing them.

• Parents work on the only person they control(themselves) and try not to create battles with their kids by being “bossy”.

• Let empathy and consequences teach lessons. The parent is not the bad guy, the

child’s choice is. Parents are allowed to be a help and support to the child as the child solves his problem.

• Play with and enjoy children.
